Carla Kendall-Bray, Executive Director
Carla grew up in a home with a Radio City Music Hall Rockette turned Ballet studio owner mom, and an opera singing, symphony playing, airline pilot dad. Her love of performing started as far back as she can remember and now Carla brings 30+ years teaching experience and 40+ years study as well as an extensive background in dance, theater, vocal performance, choreography, acting and instruction to The Fuse Dance Force.

Tony Palomino, Chair
Tony’s extensive professional dance/theatre background includes the Broadway Cast and National Tour of 42nd Street, Carnegie Hall, NY City Opera, NY Theatre Ballet, Cruise Lines, Do Jump and numerous productions across the country.

Sharon Spencer, Vice Chair
Sharon has been a Vancouver resident since 1971. She retired from Evergreen School District after working 31 years with at-risk high school youth.  During her career she served on various Boards of nonprofit organizations. Sharon is currently a co-owner/designer of a children’s clothing line.  She is married and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. In her spare time she studies tai chi, loves to quilt, sew, kayak, camp, and travel. Sharon has a love and interest in theatre and dance.

Susan Seamens, Treasurer
Susan graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Business Administration, then spent over seven years as an Air Force pilot, before becoming a volunteer extraordinaire in the Vancouver area.  Her experience includes various board positions with Pleasant Valley PTA, including Vice President, and many years as Treasurer of Vancouver Dance Theatre.  She’s been there to support her daughter through dance training from the age of 3, to her continuing pursuit of a professional dance career at age 26.

Shannon Stewart, Secretary
Trained under the Royal Academy of Dancing dance education and training program, Shannon has over thirty years experience in classical ballet. In addition to ballet, Shannon has extensive experience in tap, jazz, competitions and performing groups. Her knowledge and passion for dance has been instrumental in her teaching of ballet, tap, and jazz within the community. Shannon’s stage performances have included numerous roles in “The Nutcracker” performed under companies such as Ballet West, Vancouver Dance Theater and Pacific Ballet Theater. In addition, Shannon was a member of the chorus in Clark College Theater’s production of “42nd Street.”

Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Washington University, Shannon went on to not only work for both small and large corporations, but also co-founded a successful small business with her mother.  Pursuing her lifelong passion to be an elementary school teacher, Shannon is set to complete her Masters in Teaching at WSU Vancouver. Shannon fosters her love of dance by supporting her two children through dance education, as well as the local dance community.
